Charge Filed Against Man Accused In Death Of His Father, Mark Costello

OKLAHOMA CITY -

A formal charge has been filed against a man accused of stabbing and killing his father, Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Mark Costello.

Christian Costello, 26, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. According to police, Christian stabbed Commissioner Costello to death at Braum’s, located at 11224 N. May.

Through investigation, officers learned that Costello had planned the assault. He brought the knife with him to the location, and also requested to speak with Commissioner Costello alone, separating him from another family member who was present at the restaurant.
