Leak Reported After Construction Crew Hits Gas Main In Norman

Crews are working to cap a gas leak in Norman after a construction crew accidentally hit a gas main on W. Lindsey St.

According to police, a contractor hit the gas main in the area of W. Lindsey St. and McGee Dr., around 10 a.m. Police say the contractor described the incident as a “major leak”.

Authorities have shut down Lindsey St. in both directions while crews work to cap the leak.
