An Oklahoma City man was arrested after police said he fired shots at a house and a vehicle over the weekend.
According to police, at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, August 22, officers responded to the report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a home in the 300 block of S.E. 54th Street. When officers arrived, they found multiple bullet holes in the north side of the home, and one bullet hole in the driver’s side window of a car parked in front of the house. Police said that bullet passed through and exited out of the passenger side window of the car.
A resident told police she was sitting in her room with her boyfriend when she heard gunshots coming from outside the house. She said she looked out the window and saw a dark-colored pickup going eastbound on S.E.54th.
Police said the victim saw the suspect holding a pistol out of the pickup's window. She positively identified the suspect as 31-year-old Darnell D. Caldwell.
Caldwell was later arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on multiple complaints, including assault and battery with a deadly weapon, concealing stolen property, possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, possession of an offensive weapon while committing a felony, using a vehicle to facilitate the international discharge of a firearm, and more.
