Firefighters Battle Apartment Fire In NW OKC

Firefighters battled an apartment fire in northwest Oklahoma City, Wednesday night.

Crews were called to Lakewood Park Apartments at 7804 Lyrewood Lane to a reported fire in one of the units. Smoke from the attic of the main fire  traveled through the common attic to the attic of a second building.

One female victim has been transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. 

No word yet on the cause of the fire. Fire officials said two units were completely destroyed, and four more had smoke and water damage.  The estimated loss to structure and contents is $450,000 combined.
