One Dead After Traffic Accident In Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -

One person is dead Saturday night after a traffic accident in Midwest City, police said.

The accident happened about 9 p.m. Saturday, in the 6500 block E Reno Avenue.

Two people were riding a motorcycle traveling westbound in the outside lane of E. Reno at the intersection of Meadow Lane, when it left the roadway and crashed. Passersby called police to report the accident.

The driver, 46-year-old Jefferson Wayne Wells, of Oklahoma City, was pronounced dead on scene. His female passenger, also from Oklahoma City, was transported to local hospital. Her name has not been released at this time.
