It was a strange night on the southeast side of Oklahoma City late Saturday.

Oklahoma City police responded to Magnuson hotel around 1 a.m., after a fight broke out in the parking lot. Police say the fight between two people escalated and they started shooting at each other.

A man unrelated to the fight, was sitting in a car when a stray bullet went through the windshield. The shattered glass gave him some minor cuts.

But the call didn’t stop there.

Shortly after, police rushed to a nearby DUI checkpoint at SE 72 Street and Shields Boulevard to interview people inside a vehicle that matched the vehicle description of the Magnuson hotel shooting. Oklahoma City police interviewed the people and let them go, an Oklahoma County sheriff's office spokesman said.

Police told News 9 the incidents are not related.
