A suspect was involved in a foot pursuit with police following a high-speed chase in southeast Oklahoma City.

According to authorities, an Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic stop near SE 59th and Interstate 35. However, the suspect vehicle took off. That's when the pursuit began.

The vehicle eventually crashed out near SE 59th St. and Shields Blvd. The female driver got out of the vehicle and ran away. The male passenger did not run and cooperated with deputies. He was not arrested.

The woman ran through a medical building in the area and then ran into the woods. Deputies called off the official search though some deputies are still in the area.

Deputies said they will get an arrest warrant issued for the woman Wednesday. They have not released her name.

Webster Middle School and Southeast High School were briefly placed on lockdown while police searched the area. The lockdown was lifted around 2:30 p.m.
