Authorities Look For Driver Who Struck Deputy On Turner Turnpike

Authorities are looking for a suspect who ran away after hitting a deputy with a vehicle on the Turner Turnpike Tuesday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, troopers are searching for the suspect, later identified as Danny Hopkins, near Highway 177 and the Turner Turnpike.

Hopkins reportedly took off on foot after striking a Lincoln County deputy with a vehicle.

The deputy was transported to the hospital in serious condition, suffering from injuries to his arm, shoulder and chest.
