Man Rescued From Crane In NE OKC Dies

The man who was rescued after suffering a heart attack while high up in a crane at a construction site in in northeast Oklahoma City has passed away.

The man who was rescued after suffering a heart attack while high up in a crane at a construction site in in northeast Oklahoma City has passed away.

OKC fire crews responded to the scene in the 800 block of Stanton L. Young on Monday morning.

The victim, who has yet to be identified, experienced the heart attack while the crane was nearly 100 feet in the air and was unable to descend, according to authorities.

Rescuers were able to get to the man and safely brought him down from the crane where he was rushed to a local hospital.

Manhattan Construction confirmed with News 9 Tuesday morning that the man had died. Construction officials say he died from the heart attack, but an official report has not yet been made.
