Danni König scored his league-high 11th goal of the season for OKC Energy FC, who ended a three-game USL losing streak by way of a 1-1 draw with LA Galaxy II Sunday night at Stub Hub Center.

In the seventh minute of play, König took possession of a ball that slipped through Galaxy II defenders and booted a shot from near 17 yards out that skipped past LA keeper Clement Diop for a 1-0 Energy FC lead. The goal was König’s fifth in five games and tied him for the USL lead in goals with Pittsburgh’s Rob Vincent. König has registered at least a single point in 11 of OKC’s 16 matches this season.

Galaxy II answered in the 13th minute, when Andre Auras fielded a pass from Todd Dunivant and sent a shot from 25 yards out that sailed past OKC goal keeper Evan Newton and into the top right corner of the net.

Prior to Sunday night’s draw, Energy FC had been winless against L.A. in four matches, all in 2014.

Energy FC finished its road trip with a 0-3-1 record and returns to Oklahoma City for a July 11 match against Orange County Blues FC at Taft Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
