A Cushing, Oklahoma, man was arrested on multiple complaints, including possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school, early Monday morning.

According to Cushing Police, just after 6 a.m., officers, along with Payne County Sheriff's deputies, served a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 200 block of E. 6th Street.

During the search of the home, officers said they found numerous items, including containers containing a green leafy substance, drug paraphernalia and more than 30 firearms.

As a result of the seized items, Thomas Greene, 26, was taken into custody and later charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1000 feet from a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of stolen property and failure to affix tax stamp.

“I would like to commend Ofc. Sherman, Ofc. Haywood, MPO Sappington, Ofc. Bruggman, Ofc. Hall and Ofc. Perry for all their hard work during this narcotics investigation”, Deputy Chief Claxton said. “It is due to their investigation that we were able to successfully remove these items from our streets.”
