According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a “check welfare” call near N.E. 23rd and Santa Fe. The caller told police there was a female lying in the roadway. Police have identified a woman who was found dead early Friday morning in Oklahoma City.

According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a “check welfare” call near N.E. 23rd and Santa Fe. The caller told police there was a woman lying in the roadway.

Officers arrived at the scene and found 30-year-old Kimberly Williams. She was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police believe Williams was struck by a vehicle. That vehicle then left the scene.
