OKC Police Identify Woman Killed, Man Injured In Shooting

Investigation continues into a shooting that claimed the life of a woman and injured a man at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex. On Monday, police released the victims' identities.

According to police, at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, officers responded to the report of a shooting at Britton Courtyards Apartments, located at 7000 W. Britton. When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Montyana Richardson wounded by gunfire.

Montyana was transported to OU Medical Center. A second victim, 23-year-old Frederick Richardson, was also shot and transported by private vehicle to Baptist Hospital. Montyana and Frederick were cousins, police said.

Investigators learned that Montyana Richardson passed away on Friday, May 29 as a result of her injuries. Frederick Richardson has since been released from the hospital and is expected to recover.

There have been no arrests made in this case. Police have not released a suspect description. Anyone with information should call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405)-297-1200.

Montyana Richardson's death is Oklahoma City's 26th homicide of 2015, according to police.
