In Yukon, a retiring crossing guard provides more than a safe way across the street.
Heather Kendrick has eased parent fears for the past five years.
“If it were my kids, I'd want someone to watch them like I watch my own,” Kendrick said.

Kendrick said she is walking away from the cross walk business to spend more time with her family.
