OKLAHOMA CITY -

Slide the City, an event that transforms 1,000+ feet of a city street into a giant slip and slide, has opened registration for its Oklahoma City event.

According to event organizers, over 8,000 individuals joined the registration wait list, and they are expecting the event to sell out.

In addition, Slide the City announced that it is giving away 10 free “Single Slider” entries to the first 10 non-profit organizations to contact them. Entries can be used for fundraising raffles, online giveaways, etc.

The Oklahoma City event will take place at N. Shartel and N.W. 8th Street on Saturday, July 25.

Event organizers lay down 1,000+ feet of padded vinyl and quickly transform the heart of the city into one giant party, inviting people to get outside, have fun and connect with their community.

“We spend so much time walking, running, or driving around our cities,” says Co-founder TR Gourley, “but how many times have you been able to say you slid down your city streets? This will be one of the highlights of your year. Get ready for the slide of your life!”
