The Oklahoma Sooners aren't done yet.

Fighting to keep their season alive, OU scored two runs in the top of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie and beat Kansas State on Friday night in Tulsa. The win keeps the Sooners above ground for another day and sets up a Bedlam showdown against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

KSU struck first in the bottom of the first on an RBI single, but the Sooners' pitching staff absolutely shut them down the rest of the way.

OU pitchers Alec Hansen, Jeffrey Curran and Jacob Evans combined to allow just five hits and zero earned runs to keep OU in the game. Evans pitched the final 1.2 innings to earn the win.

Oklahoma tied things up when Robert Tasin singled home Kolby Carpenter with two outs. Things remained knotted up until the ninth when Carpenter went back to work.

The first basemen collected three hits on the night and none bigger than his leadoff single in the game's final frame. Then, a few batters later, Tasin singled him home one more time. That broke the tie, but OU wasn't quite done. Hunter Haley drilled a double down the right field line to put runners on second and third, and in the next at bat, Tasin came home on a wild pitch.

Saturday's Bedlam contest is set for 12:30 p.m.
