The severe weather threat looks to be confined across southwest Oklahoma into north Texas Wednesday evening and away from the rest of the state.

We still couldn't rule out a few showers and T-storms with best chances being across the southern half of the state. Here across OKC Wednesday evening you can expect partly cloudy skies temperatures in the 70s under a light easterly breeze.

Overnight skies will remain mostly cloudy with rain and storms across the Red River into north Texas with a few showers and T-storms possible elsewhere. Temperatures across the state will fall into the upper 40s north to upper 50s south.

Thursday looks like a cool, clouds and mainly dry day across the Sooner State. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a breeze out of the east. Temperatures will remain slightly below normal in the 60s for highs. Drizzle will be possible through the day with a couple showers and T-storms possible late in the day.

On Friday, a strong storm system works its way across the state with again the chance of severe weather. Right now it looks like a dryline will be just west of I-35 by late afternoon on Friday with a few severe T-storms developing to the east.

Right now, the severe weather threat and coverage of storms doesn't look very high on Friday as the timing of the system and orientation of the upper level winds are not very favorable for a big severe weather event.

Behind the dryline across western Oklahoma southwest winds will increase 20 to 40 mph with blowing dust and high fire threat. This front will sweep through the area Friday night into Saturday morning for a nice weekend ahead. So that is good news for some of us that are running the memorial on Sunday morning as it looks dry and comfortable.
