Metro Man Bonds Out Of Jail After Arrest For Soliciting Sex With Girl, 12

The Canadian County Sheriff said Gary Goodgion, 52, was arrested on Friday evening after investigators said he initiated and carried on a sexually explicit conversation with a 12-year-old girl.

Sheriff's investigators said they were notified after it came to the attention of middle school officials, where she attends, that they had recovered a cell phone which contained a sexually charged, and graphic conversation between one of their students and an adult male.

Investigators took possession of the cell phone, and continued the sexually explicit conversation with Goodgion, as if they were the young girl. After he was reminded that she was only 12 years old, Goodgion stated, "That's awful young." But investigators said he continued the illegal conversation anyway.

Authorities said based on the direction of the sexually charged conversation, which included him questioning the young girl about her body and sexual experiences, deputies became seriously concerned. After Goodgion requested the girl send him "sexy pictures" of herself, they decided to take the investigation to the next level and go arrest him, officials said in a press release.

Goodgion was arrested at his residence located at 3433 S. Roff in Oklahoma City and authorities said he provided a full confession.

He was booked into the Canadian County Jail accused of Soliciting Sex with a Minor.

His bond was set at $50,000. He posted it and was released on Saturday, April 18.
