A family in Spencer is now looking for a new permanent home after an early morning fire.

It happened around 5 a.m. at NE 36th and Redbud.

Tamela Webb tells News9 her husband was in the hospital, recovering from open heart surgery, when he received a call from their next door neighbor that their house was on fire.

Tamela was not home. She was staying with the couple's daughter in Midwest City when she received the call from her husband about their home.

Spencer Fire Chief did not initially suspect arson but is still looking into a cause of the fire. He believes the home is a complete loss. No other homes in the neighborhood sustained damage.
