Warm Weather, Severe Storms Possible For Thursday In Oklahoma

It will be a mild start to the day with mostly 50-degree temperatures across the state. Partly cloudy skies and southerly winds 5 to 15 mph will be with us most of the day Thursday.

Later, partly cloudy skies with a high near 80 degrees. The UV index is a 9 out of 10, so watch out for sunburn.

Storm chances are on the rise for western Oklahoma with storms possible late afternoon and moving into the state by mid-evening and overnight through the metro.

Severe storms are possible from this and this includes golf ball or larger hail, strong winds, heavy localized rain and maybe a tornado or two. So stay weather aware late day and tonight.

Metro evening weather should be good if you are going out to see the Oklahoma City Dodgers or have another outdoor activity.
