My 2 Cents: Police Officer Rams Suspect

It has to be some of the most startling police video we've seen.

Police officers near Tucson responded to a robbery suspect walking down the street with a rifle. Two units arrived but kept their distance even after the suspect ignores their orders. Then the suspect fired a shot in the air and kept walking toward some other businesses.

Neither officer seemed willing to stop him, but then a patrol car blew by and right into the suspect.

The suspect easily could have been killed but he wasn't, he was hospitalized for two days then thrown in jail.

Yes, the video is shocking. The suspect's attorney said the officer used excessive force.

Kelly couldn't disagree more, and bets the people in those other businesses he was walking toward with a loaded rifle agree.

“It may have been unconventional, but it was decisive and it was effective. And this guy forfeited his right to any further consideration when he put other people's lives in danger.”
