Overnight Crashes Shut Down Highways Around Oklahoma

It was a busy overnight for authorities across the metro due to all the chaos on the roads. Part of the Turner Turnpike was shut down due to one such accident overnight

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, two semis hit each other in the eastbound lanes. Troopers diverted traffic for hours overnight to the Luther exit.

Right now, News 9 can confirm that there were injuries, but no word on how man or their severity. Police are still investigating what led up to the crash.

All lanes were open in time for the morning commute.

Interstate 35, near the Texas Border, was also shut down for almost five hours overnight. Lanes were closed after an accident spilled oil and debris all over the interstate. Hazmat actually had to come clean this one up.

There were injuries in this accident as well. No word on a cause.
