It was a busy overnight for firefighters in the metro who were called out to save several homes from burning to the ground.

Crews were first called out to this home on SW 86th St. near May just before 12:30 a.m. News 9 is told a woman in a wheelchair and a teenager were inside when the flames started.

Oklahoma City Fire Crews say they had a hard time seeing it due to thick fog disguising the smoke. The fire started in the garage then spread to the attic. There is about $20,000 in damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Just a few hours later, crews were sent to SW 27th St. and Goff Avenue after a 911 call said a transformer blew.

When firefighters arrived on scene they determined that downed power lines sparked a grass fire and burned a fence. Crews were able to put out the flames before it spread to nearby homes.

OG&E is working on fixing the power lines. About 100 total customers were out of power.
