The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in Garfield County Tuesday evening.
The 4.2 magnitude quake shook the area 16 miles south, southeast of Medford and 19 miles northeast of Enid at 6:45 p.m., according to the USGS.
The earthquake was nearly two miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
