Barry Switzer Says He Takes OU Video "Very Personally"

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Legendary Oklahoma football coach Barry Switzer said he has seen the video showing OU Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) members chanting racial slurs.

Switzer said he takes it “very personally.” He was named an honorary SAE 15 years ago.

University of Oklahoma President David Boren severed all ties with the local SAE chapter and directed the house be closed.

Switzer said innocent people are now being affected by what has happened. “I have known the house mother there more than 20 years. She has lost her job. It's sad,” Switzer told News 9. “People who make minimum wage in the cafeteria have lost their jobs.”
