CUSTER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The family of Jaray Wilson calls it "justice" now that a Weatherford man, Tucker McGee, has been found guilty for the murder of their daughter.

Testimony continued for six days before the jury only needed two and half hours to convict Tucker Mcgee of first-degree murder, and provide Jaray Wilson's family with comfort.

"I just wanted to scream ‘Yes', but I don't know if it was a relief, but that's the only word I can think of. It did lift a weight off my shoulders," said Jaray's mom, Jara.

It's a weight that Jaray's family has carried for over 14 months. From the day 16-year-old Jaray went missing in October 2012, to the day her remains were found in December 2013, and now in this final chapter.

Tucker McGee, 20, was found ‘guilty' of Jaray's murder in the first-degree and will likely be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

"We got what we were looking for. I mean, it's been a long time coming. The justice for Jaray prevailed," said Jaray's father, Rodney.

Inside the courtroom the defense argued that McGee was high on synthetic marijuana, or K2, the day he shot Jaray, and was hallucinating.

The prosecution combatted those claims by stating McGee was well aware of his actions, and had deliberate intent to kill Jaray by shooting her twice in the head, burying her body along a county road outside of Weatherford and lying about his crime for those 14 months; even helping Jaray's family hang missing posters.

But the Wilson family is now focused on moving on with the mindset that they finally have justice for Jaray.

"And we can just have our memories and remember Jaray. Now we can start our healing."

The jury has recommended life without parole. McGee's formal sentencing will take place on April 6.
