OKLAHOMA CITY -

A homeowner discovered a man's body in an alley on Lyrewood Lane near Wilshire in OKC, over the weekend.

Investigators are trying to figure out what led up to the man's death.

The homeowner found the man nearly dead behind his home early Sunday morning.

Crime scene Investigators surrounded several homes with yellow tape. Detectives say the victim was young and not wearing a coat when they found him lying in the snow in the alley.

It's unclear how long he had been there, but police say a fight took place, and there was a trail of blood in the street.

The homeowner's cousin, Karin Holmes, who lives across the street, says a group of people living in the area could be to blame.

"Eventually I knew something was going to happen because they party too much there,” Holmes told News 9. "I have kids here, so it's dangerous, you know what I'm saying? It could've been one of our kids."

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police aren't sure if he died of hypothermia or from the assault.
