One Arrested For Making Threats On OU Campus

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Authorities arrested one person who is accused of making threats on the campus of the University of Oklahoma on Friday.

According to school officials, the OU Police Department responded to the report of an individual making threats in Kaufman Hall on the OU campus.

OU police apprehended that person. Officers said they determined that the suspect was in possession of a firearm.

Police have not identified the suspect at this time. News 9 and News9.com will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

OU officials released the following statement concerning the incident,

“The OU Police Department responded to a report of an individual alleged to have made threats in Kaufman Hall on the University of Oklahoma campus. OUPD apprehended the person and determined that the individual was in possession of a firearm. This illustrates the dangers of allowing guns on campus.”
