OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police said they are looking for an armed robber who held up the same Subway restaurant twice in January.

Authorities said the suspect is a woman and she actually gave some of the money back to one of the victims in a strange gesture.

The store in the 6900 block of N. May posted the woman's picture at the front door.

Surveillance video showed a woman with a gun walk in and demand cash from the clerk.

“Not once, but twice and both times were at gunpoint,” said Oklahoma City police MSgt. Gary Knight.

The first robbery was mid-January, but the cameras were not recording.

In the first robbery, the victim said the suspect took off with the cash from the register, then stopped at the tip jar and dropped a dollar in, saying "This is for you."

Police have that dollar as evidence.

The video from her second go-round in late January clearly showed the black pistol pointing at the clerk.

“Thankfully no one was hurt, but you get a really good look at the female on video,” said MSgt. Knight.

The suspect first walked in and went to restroom, possibly checking to see if any other employees were in the store.

The clerk said the suspect was calm when she asked for the money.

The suspect was described as a heavy set black woman and her shirt has a distinct pattern that police want the public to see.

“She has a very unique top she's wearing, a unique design on it,” explained MSgt. Knight. “You can get a pretty good look at it on the video,” he added.

Both times, the suspect waited until all the customers had left the store.

“It's good enough video that you can recognize her, recognize her clothing, somebody who knows her should be able to tell us who she is,” Knight told News 9.

Call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300 if you can help police in this case.
