OKLAHOMA CITY -

Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, an EMSA unit was involved in a three-car collision near I-44 northbound and NW 23rd Street, authorities said.

Two trucks, one white and one brown, reportedly hit the unit. The people in the white truck ran from the scene and the driver in the brown truck drove away from the scene, according to police.

The accident shut down two lanes of I-44 northbound near NW 23rd Street.

OHP troopers were looking for the suspects Saturday.

The front end of the EMSA unit was damaged. Medics were not transporting a patient at the time.

Authorities said the two people in the EMSA unit are expected be okay.
