OKLAHOMA CITY -

A man was arrested on multiple complaints after he led an Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy on a pursuit in Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, on Sunday, November 2, a deputy saw a car with a broken headlight near S. Exchange and S. Agnew. The deputy attempted to stop the driver, who initially pulled over at S.W. 14th and Agnew. However, as the deputy approached the car, the man reportedly drove off at a high rate of speed. That's when the pursuit began.

According to the Sheriff's office, the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Dewy Buckaloo, drove in a reckless manner. He eventually crashed into a cement staircase at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of S.W. 15th Street.

Buckaloo was arrested at the scene. The deputy said he found a firearm with the serial number removed, meth, and marijuana inside Buckaloo's car. Buckaloo was also driving without a license.

Buckaloo now faces multiple charges, including defective headlamp, causing a crash while eluding a deputy, possession of a firearm after felony conviction, possession of a firearm with serial number removed while committing a felony, two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance, and no state driver's license. He is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail on $17,500 bond.
