HOLLIS, Oklahoma -

Authorities arrested a Hollis man for allegedly abusing his infant daughter. The five-month-old girl is in critical condition at a hospital in the Oklahoma City area.

Authorities said the girl's mother took her to the emergency room in Hollis, and from there she was flown to a hospital in Comanche County and then on to OU Children's in Oklahoma City.

The Hollis Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) to help with the case on Wednesday. Doctors told investigators the girl has multiple bruises to her head and body, a fractured right arm and left leg and retinal hemorrhages.

Witnesses inside the Hollis apartment when the child was hurt told authorities the child's father was the only person to have contact with the girl when the abuse occurred.

Friday morning, the OSBI investigating agent arrested the child's father, Ricky Garcia, 21, at the Harmon County Courthouse on one count of child abuse. His bond was set at $500,000.
