Saturday's search for a shooting suspect in southeast Oklahoma City has ended after further investigation revealed the victim shot himself.

Police originally said they were searching for a suspect after a woman was shot in southeast Oklahoma City, but News 9 has now learned the victim is actually a man who shot himself.

According to the Oklahoma City police, officers responded to a disturbance call late Saturday morning in the 700 block of S.E. 21st Street.

Police said the victim told officers someone broke into his house and shot him, however, after further investigation, police have determined this was a self-inflicted wound.

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening, according to police.
