Train Slams Into Stalled Car In NW OKC

Britton Road near Western in Oklahoma City is back open after a train slammed into a car parked on the tracks early Thursday morning.

According to police, a train slammed into a silver, 4-door sedan that was stalled on the train tracks. Police said the driver simply left the car on the tracks and walked away.

Officers caught up to the driver and arrested him on suspicion of DUI.

No one was injured in the accident.

This was the second time in a month an abandoned car was hit by a train at this same intersection.
