Police: NW OKC Cash Advance Store Robbed Again

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

A cash advance business in northwest Oklahoma City was robbed for a third time this year.

According to police, on Saturday, October 18, a man walked into the Approved Cash Advance at 4423 N.W. 63rd Street, and told a clerk that he needed to cash a check.

The clerk said the suspect threw a note and several receipts down in front of her. He then pointed a gun at the clerk, opened the chamber, and told her that he had bullets in the gun before closing the chamber.

The suspect demanded all the cash out of the drawer. He told the clerk not to move and ran into the back room to look for a safe. However, police said the suspect was unable to locate a safe. He then ran out of the store and left the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male who stands about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall. He is about 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The same business had been robbed twice already this year. On April 28, two suspects walked into the store. One suspect handed clerk a folder, which contained a note indicating this was a robbery. The second suspect served as a look-out, according to police.
