A car crashed into a northwest Oklahoma City home early Friday morning. 

Oklahoma City police said the driver of a car was trying to avoid a dog in the road on Broadway Extension.  The driver reportedly lost control of the car and left the road.

According to police, the driver ended up hitting a sidewalk bench, and crashing into a home in the 100 block of N.W. 82nd Street. 

Nobody in the car or the house was hurt, but police said the dog was hit and did not survive.
