State officials announced the completion of their investigation into the execution of Clayton Lockett Wednesday. Investigators said they will post their findings report on Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. on the Department of Public Safety's website. News 9 will be at the news conference scheduled for 11 a.m. to learn the latest on the investigation.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections inmate's attorney said Lockett writhed, moaned and clenched his teeth before he was pronounced dead more than 40 minutes after his execution began on April 29.

Department of Corrections Director Robert Patton had said Lockett died from a heart attack several minutes after he ordered the execution stopped. But an independent autopsy performed for the Department of Public Safety concluded the cause of death was "judicial execution by lethal injection."
