GRADY COUNTY, Oklahoma -

One person was killed and another one was seriously injured in a collision involving a semi-truck in Grady County, early Monday morning.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, it happened at 5:21 a.m. on State Highway 19, just east of County Street 2900 in Grady County.

A pickup truck driven by 30-year-old Jerry Cecil Tucker of Chickasha was eastbound on the highway when it went left of center and struck a semi-truck that was going westbound at the time.

Tucker was medi-flighted to the OU Medical Center in serious condition, suffering from head, trunk internal and external, arm and leg injuries.

The semi-driver, 56-year-old Robert Early Greene of Cushing, was pinned inside the vehicle for about three hours before being freed by Grady County firefighters. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries, according to the OHP.

The condition of both drivers at the time of the wreck is under investigation. Troopers have listed the cause of the collision as “left of center” in the OHP collision report.
