The National Weather Service in Norman has issued heavy thunderstorm advisories for several Oklahoma counties, Thursday night.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued heavy thunderstorm advisories for several Oklahoma counties, Thursday night.

The heavy thunderstorm advisories were issued for the following counties:

10:35 p.m. - Kay and Noble Counties

10:03 p.m. - Alfalfa, Beaver, Caddo, Comanche, Garfield, Grant, Jackson, Kiowa, Major, Stephens, Tillman and Washita Counties

According to the National Weather Service, at 9:24 p.m. Thursday, a strong thunderstorm was located near Devol, moving east at 35 mph.

These storms are expected to bring wind gusts up to 50 mph and minor flooding.

The National Weather Service says severe weather is not expected and no warnings are anticipated at this time.
