Central Oklahoma Goodwill stores are in the clear after a data breach to credit card systems that the industry utilizes.
A spokesperson for Goodwill issued a press release stating that central Oklahoma Goodwill stores are not affected by the breach because they do not use the system that was compromised.
“It is our practice and intent to notify our community, our stakeholders and the appropriate authorities should one occur,” said Goodwill CEO, Chris Daniels.
“At Goodwill Industries of Central we are committed to our mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and disadvantages through the power of work and work diligently to protect our participants, donors and supporters.”
The investigation began after a rash of data breaches at companies such as Target, Neiman Marcus and the like.
