OKLAHOMA CITY -

Our rain chances will go up tonight in western Oklahoma, and will spread across the state through Thursday. This is in advance of an upper level low pressure system that is over Montana right now.

This storm system will follow the jet stream and move over Oklahoma giving us rain and clouds that will keep temperatures in the 70's for the next couple of days.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will move in from Colorado tonight with best chances in the northwest. Rain will push to the south and east as we go through the overnight hours. We'll have a 40% chance of rain in the OKC metro after midnight. Lows will drop in to the 60's.

Wednesday highs will be in the 70's with rain likely in central and northern Oklahoma. Look for off and on scattered showers through the day with an east breeze. Not a complete washout tomorrow. Highs will be close to record breaking in central Oklahoma.

The record cool high in OKC is 74° set back in 1967. We may stay below this and break records.

More heavy rain will move in Wednesday night into Thursday with many areas receiving 1 to 2 inches with localized areas seeing 3 to 4 inches creating localized flash flooding.
