OKLAHOMA CITY -- It's been a busy morning for Oklahoma City Police. Officers responded to several violent crimes overnight, including at least two armed robberies.

The first call came in around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police responded to the Adams Crossing Apartments in the 2400 block of N.W. 39th where a man claimed he was robbed at gunpoint.

Officers tell us the victim was approached by two men as he pulled into the apartment complex. One man was armed with a shotgun and the other a handgun.

Police say they demanded money and took off with the man's cell phone. At some point during the robbery, one of the suspects fired a shot into the victim's car window. Fortunately, no one was hit.

The two suspects took off in a red SUV, and are still on the run Wednesday morning.

About an hour later, police were called to S.E. 25th and I-35 for another armed robbery at a Circle K convenience store. Officers say the man was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk who immediately complied and handed over cash from the register.

At this point, detectives have limited information to go on, but they tell us the suspect was a black male wearing black sunglasses and a black t-shirt. He was last seen running north from the area.

Police are still searching for the suspects in both of these cases. If you know anything about either of these robberies, you're urged to call police.
