Smart averaged 18 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.9 steals per game last season.  He raised his scoring, rebounding and assit average from his freshman season to his sophomore campaign.

The 20-year-old combo guard from Flower Mound, Texas was named Big 12 Player of the Year and a second-team All American his freshman year.  Those awards came on top of a no-brainer, the USBWA Freshman of the Year.

Smart was named third-team All American by NABC for his sophomore season.  He became the center of controversy after shoving a Texas Tech fan toward the end of Oklahoma State's 65-61 loss in Lubbock.

He was suspended for three games as a result of the incident, but returned to help the Cowboys surge toward another NCAA Tournament bid.
