OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahomans will eat and then run in a 10K relay race Saturday morning to support the efforts of the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit, Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO).

It's called the NSO Hungryman Challenge, an eat-then-run 10K relay race featuring costumed teams of two or four people.

The race starts at 8 a.m. on May 17 in the Ninth Street District of downtown Oklahoma City. The event will feature the 10K race, a costume contest and a raffle. Online registration has now closed, but interested teams can still sign up at 6:30 a.m. on race day. The fee is $25 per person.

Course Map, FAQs and Registration Information

The Hungryman Challenge benefits NSO, a faith-based organization serving the at-risk and homeless population by providing housing solutions and teaching skills to transform lives. NSO impacts over 72,000 individuals each year through safe, healthy homes, affordable dental care and nutrition.

The NSO Hungryman Challenge was recently featured in the book "The Runner's Bucket List: 200 Races to Run Before You Die," by Denise Malan.
