UPDATE 9:12 p.m.: Officials have canceled the Silver Alert issued earlier Thursday afternoon for missing 77-year-old Orange Simpson.

Authorities tell News 9 Simpson has been found safe, but they did not say where he was located.

Officials have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Oklahoma City man, Thursday evening.

Authorities say 77-year-old Orange Simpson's last known whereabouts was a cell phone ping at a home near state highway 64 East of S. 161 East Ave., east of Bixby, Okla.

Simpson was last seen driving a silver and tan 2006 model Lexus L47, Oklahoma license plate number: 432AAA.

Authorities say Simpson is from Oklahoma City, but his phone pinged at the above address just before 6 p.m. Thursday. He has been missing since 8 a.m.

According to police, Simpson has dementia and has been driving around in his vehicle. He is considered to be under proven medical or physical disability and is in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
