OKLAHOMA CITY -

New details are coming out Thursday night about a metro man arrested in what police call a murder-for-hire investigation.

When a joint task force served the warrant Thursday, it was quite a scene, and they were still there Thursday night.

Thursday night, the joint terrorism task force is at the suspect's house on N. McKinley Ave. searching for evidence. This marks six hours they've been sorting through the evidence.

Oklahoma City Police and the FBI say they went to 30-year-old Preston Rhoads' house  to serve a warrant and called the hazmat team out once they got inside.

"It was so scary to see all this around my neighborhood because you really don't see anything like that over here. This is a pretty quiet neighborhood," said resident Kynicia Crutchfield.

Police say someone tipped them off about Rhoads and now they're investigating him for solicitation of murder.

"Information was gathered a few days ago that led us to believe that a gentleman was trying to commit a homicide," said Oklahoma City Police Capt. Dexter Nelson.

Investigators aren't releasing details just yet on who was involved in the plan. They'll only say they've called the alleged target to tell that person about Rhoads' arrest.

"He's in custody, but right now, we're just clearing the house before we leave, looking for evidence," said Nelson.

From Bob Mills SkyNews9, we could see investigators taking a lot of items out of Rhoads' home in northwest Oklahoma City. We counted numerous yellow bags full of stuff, but investigators will only say they're clearing the home of weapons and dangerous materials.

"That's really scary to know that's going on and I'm right around the corner with my children," said Crutchfield.

News 9 checked Rhoads' record here in Oklahoma and only found traffic tickets. We also talked with someone who is says he's friends with Rhoads.

"He is a good guy, a responsible man who wouldn't hurt a fly. This is a complete shock," said the friend, who wished to remain anonymous.
