Warm and dry conditions overtake the state through the rest of the work week. Storm chances, once again, show up this weekend.
High temperatures tomorrow will range from the mid 70s in eastern Oklahoma to the mid and upper 80s in western Oklahoma. South winds will be very strong tomorrow out of the southwest at 20 to 30 mph. Dry air will bring the fire danger into the extreme category for all of western Oklahoma.
Thursday poses an extreme fire risk as well with even warmer temperatures all across the state. A few 90s will show up in southwest Oklahoma.
Our next storm system arrives on Sunday and while there are still lots of details to work out, precipitation looks likely across most of the state. Eastern Oklahoma will likely receive most of the rain again. A dryline may setup in western Oklahoma, posing a threat for some severe storms. However, the storm system itself is still in the central Pacific ocean, so we don't know a lot of the details at this point. As we move closer to the weekend, we'll find out more.
