OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are looking for a man who reportedly stole more than $12,000 worth of jewelry from two Oklahoma City businesses.

According to police, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into the Kohls store, located at 9001 N.W. Passage, and asked to look at a $9,000 ring. When it was handed to him, he ran out of the store, got into an early 2000's model red Mitsubishi Eclipse and drove away.

The suspect is described as white man in his 30s wearing an OU cap, tan hooded jacket, and blue jeans. He had a goatee.

Police believe the same man is responsible for stealing another ring from a JC Penney department store at 1901 N.W. Expressway in Oklahoma City. He was caught on surveillance cameras at both businesses, and the suspect descriptions match.

At 6:20 p.m. the same day, police say the man went to the jewelry counter at the JC Penney and asked to see a ring. After the ring was handed to him, he looked around and took off running out of the south exit.

That ring was worth $3,833.
