TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force brought a Tulsa manhunt to an end Friday night with the arrest of Lyndon Bryan Baker.

Baker was arrested for first degree murder and kidnapping in the death of Duchone Whitworth. Police say Baker was taken into custody at about 7 p.m. at 9200 East Admiral.

"Somebody who knew him saw him at the flea market and called the marshals with the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force," said Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker.

"They got there, found him and arrested him."

Whitworth's skeletal remains were discovered in some woods in the 500 block of East 66th Street North in December, 2013. Tulsa Police found the body while investigating a quadruple murder in the 1300 block of North New Haven that took place November 23.

They were actively interviewing known users and abusers of meth to gain information on those killings, and a tip led them to Whitworth's body. Whitworth, 45, had been missing since October.

Police arrested a married couple, Charles and Pauline Johnson, after Charles Johnson was found driving Whitworth's Buick. Police had been searching for the 28-year-old Baker in connection with the death.

"We just kept hounding people where he would be, so he really had no place to go," Walker said Saturday morning.
