OKC Police: Man Shot While Getting Morning Paper

Oklahoma City police are investigating a shooting that injured one person early Wednesday morning on the northeast side of the city. 

It happened just before 5 a.m. in the 1200 block of Staton Drive near N.E. 36th and Kelley.

The 49-year old victim told officers he was outside getting his morning paper when someone drove by and shot him in the foot. 

At last check with officers on the scene, they were still searching for the gunman. Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
